Larkspur Percussion Duo
Hello! Our names are Lauren Molloy and Louis Raymond-Kolker, and we’re Larkspur Percussion Duo. Larkspur started off in Austin, Texas, and now we’re based between Austin, Texas and Winston-Salem, North Carolina. We’re firm believers in presenting music for everyone: our repertoire ranges from newly composed works for percussion to our own arrangements of pop tunes, and we try to play as much in community (at bookstores, coffeeshops, and even a grocery store!) as we do in typical concert venues.
Most recently, we recorded Jonathan Scales’ “The Questions Unanswerable” and Louis Raymond-Kolker’s “Obsidian, White Tea & Ginger” at Avaloch Farm Music Institute. Both of those recordings are available on YouTube, Bandcamp, Spotify, and other streaming services.
We’re both seasonal members of Inside Out Steelband, and we’re close friends and sometimes collaborators with Flat Water Trio and CHannel2 Percussion Duo. You can find us on Facebook and Instagram at @LarkspurPercussion.
