Loosen gravity’s grip for steelband (2018)
Loosen gravity’s grip is an intermediate composition for steelband inspired by one of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s goodnight tweets. It begins with a sense of floating disconnection, before a middle section with ominous low-pan swells and dramatic full band hits.
Loosen gravity’s grip was written for Dr. Dave Hall and Nebraska Steel, and premiered in March 2019.
